Lumifilm Oy is a Finnish production company founded by Liisa Helminen and Hanna Hemilä in 1993. Our aim is to make entertaining, intelligent and visually appealing films for kids and parents. The productions include the internationally acclaimed feature film Pelicanman (2004, major awards in London, Chicago, Moscow, Cairo, Zlin), the internationally awarded and distributed animation films Tootletubs & Jyro (13 episodes) and Urpo & Turpo (13 episodes), as well as two documentaries about Tove Jansson and Tuulikki Pietilä: Haru, The Island of the Solitary and Tove and Tooti in Europe.
